Sunnyridge, located on the Gauteng East Rand, is a suburb of Germiston and forms part of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

Sunnyridge is a popular residential suburb and offers a wide variety of older type homes, many of which have been renovated, as well as apartments and townhouses to accommodate buyers and tenants of different ages and income groups.

Sunnyridge has a moderate subtropical climate with little humidity. The winters are mild and sunny, but nights are cold. Summers are pleasantly warm and sunny with frequent late afternoon thunderstorms. Spring and Autumn are mild and sunny but cold snaps can occur in April and September. The average winter temperature is 16° Celsius, with the average summer temperature being 25° Celsius.
